AuraLock is designed around a simple idea: you should be able to make time for yourself without building a profile for someone else.

The short version: AuraLock has no account, advertising, app analytics, or developer-operated backend. Your sessions and progress are stored locally. Apple provides system permissions and purchases. Cloudflare hosts this website.

About this policy

This policy covers the AuraLock iPhone and iPad app and this website, operated by the AuraLock developer. The app is currently in internal testing. Changes to data practices will be reflected here before they take effect.

Data stored by the app

AuraLock stores focus sessions, durations, completion and interruption records, streaks, achievements, earned recreation balances, aura choices, and preferences on your device. App components share a small local snapshot through Apple’s App Group storage so timers, the monitor and widgets can work together.

The developer does not receive this history. There is no AuraLock account or cloud sync. Your device’s system backups may include local app data, according to your Apple settings. Removing the app may remove local data; backups are managed by Apple.

Screen Time and family permissions

AuraLock uses Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity frameworks to request authorization, let you choose apps, and apply or end shields. Selections are represented by Apple’s privacy-preserving tokens and stored locally. AuraLock does not send app selections, browsing activity, or Screen Time reports to the developer.

Parental mode requires Apple child authorization through Family Sharing. A parent sets a separate PIN on the child’s device. The PIN is protected with a salted derivation and device Keychain storage. Wrong-attempt counters and cooldowns are retained locally. There is no remote parent dashboard or developer-operated PIN recovery service.

Authorization and system-level enforcement are controlled by Apple. Individual authorization can be revoked in iOS Settings. Physical-device behavior is still being verified before public release.

Purchases

Apple processes payments and provides purchase and entitlement information through StoreKit. AuraLock uses verified entitlements to unlock Pro. The developer does not receive your payment card details. Apple may provide app developers with sales and transaction reporting under its own policies. TestFlight uses sandbox billing.

Children and families

AuraLock does not operate accounts or a backend that collects children’s personal information. Optional parental protection is configured through Apple Family Sharing and a parent PIN. A parent or guardian should manage permissions and purchases. Do not include a child’s private information in feedback or support messages unless it is necessary to resolve the issue.

This website

This is a static website hosted by Cloudflare. We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, newsletter forms, third-party fonts, or visitor profiles. We do not set application cookies or use local storage to track visitors.

Cloudflare necessarily processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser details, timestamps and security signals, to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare may use essential security mechanisms. Its processing and retention are governed by the hosting service and Cloudflare’s privacy policy. “No app analytics” does not mean that internet hosting involves no technical data processing.

Feedback and support

If you send feedback through Apple TestFlight, Apple shares the feedback and relevant testing information with the developer according to your choices and Apple’s policies. If you contact support, the developer receives the information you include, such as your email address, message and attachments. That information is used to address your request and retained only as needed for support, security or legal obligations. Please avoid sending PINs, passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information.

Support email is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a developer mailbox hosted by Google. Those providers process messages as part of delivery and mailbox hosting. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy for their practices.

Your choices

Manage Screen Time authorization and Family Sharing in Apple’s settings.
Manage purchases and subscriptions through your Apple Account.
Control iCloud or device backup settings with Apple.
Keep or remove the app’s local data using the controls available on your device. Removing the app does not cancel a subscription, and parental protections may restrict removal.
